Veg•All Makin’ It Easy Recipe Contest
Official Rules

  1. Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time on September 1, 2004, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on November 30, 2004. This contest is open to legal U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. Employees, officers, and contractors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of the sponsor, its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers, retailers, vendors, advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with this contest are not eligible to participate. Contest void where restricted or prohibited by law.
  2. TO ENTER: Veg•All purchase required.  Persons entering are asked to submit an original recipe using Veg•All 15 ounce Original Mixed Vegetables and a proof-of-purchase in the form of a UPC bar code from Veg•All package. Entries are to be submitted on a 3”x 5” recipe card, and the entrant must include a recipe name, complete listing of recipe ingredients (must be 7 ingredients or less to qualify) with exact U.S. measurements, step-by-step instructions for preparation, mixing and cooking/baking, as well as prep/cook time and temperature requirements, number of servings yielded, serving suggestions, and all other pertinent information. Please also be sure to include a separate card on which is printed or typed entrant’s full name, physical address, telephone number, and e-mail address (if available).

    Entries are limited to two (2) per household. Each entry must be mailed separately in an envelope no larger than 9”x 12”, and must be received no later than November 30, 2004, the official end date of the contest. All entries are to be mailed to: Veg•All Makin’ It Easy Recipe Contest, P.O. Box 109, Anaheim, CA 92815-0109. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, illegible, or postage-due mail.
  3. PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize of $7,000 cash will be awarded. There are also seven (7) First Prizes of $1,000 cash each. Total value of all prizes is $14,000.

    All prizes will be awarded. Prizes cannot be sold or transferred, nor are there substitutions of components of the prize package, except at the sole discretion of the sponsor. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
  4. WINNING: All entries will be reviewed and evaluated by an independent judging organization and experienced home economist. Recipes will be judged on the following weighted basis:
    Taste – 50%
    Originality  – 25%
    Appearance – 25%

    In the event of a tie between entries, the tie will be broken on the basis of appearance of the prepared product. All recipes must be original, previously unpublished, and written or dictated by the entrant himself/herself. Each recipe can only be entered once.
  5. CLAIMING PRIZES: Winners will be notified on or about January 30, 2005. Winners will be notified by telephone initially, and verified in writing Written. Winners will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability/Publicity Release, which must be returned within seven (7) days of notification date on affidavit, or an alternate winner will be chosen. Entry constitutes agreement to abide by Official Rules and permission (except where prohibited) to use winner’s recipe, name, and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation.
  6. CONDITIONS: Illegible/incomplete entries will be discarded. Entries void if defective, altered, forged, or if submitted/obtained outside authorized channels. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, municipal, and local laws and regulations. This offer is void where prohibited and/or restricted by law.
  7. INDEPENDENT SWEEPSTAKES ADMINISTRATOR: This promotion is being administered by The Goltz Seering Agency, 2300 Riverside Drive, Green Bay, WI 54301, who is responsible for overseeing the awarding of all prizes and whose decisions will be final regarding the conduct of the promotion.
